B.S. Chemistry

M.S. Instructional Technology â€‹

Hi, I’m Tess! I am an instructional designer with a passion for transforming complex content into engaging, student-centered learning experiences.

My journey began in the classroom, where I served as Head of the Chemistry Department at a public high school. There, I led curriculum development and mentored fellow educators, always striving to make science accessible, relevant, and inspiring.

When the shift to virtual learning upended traditional teaching, I saw an opportunity to reimagine how students learn. I pursued a Master’s in Instructional Technology to deepen my expertise in digital pedagogy and design. That experience empowered me to create an entire chemistry curriculum built around interactive modules that are designed to foster autonomy, curiosity, and real understanding.

This portfolio shares how the work I have done connects with the coach standards created by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).
