Description

The Digital Citizenship Infographic is a resource that can be used to help students evaluate digital media for their relevance, accuracy, bias, and reliability. The infographic also provides things to consider when curating your own digital profile.

Relevance

This artifact reflects ISTE standard 7: digital citizen advocate (7c, 7d). The information in the infographic helps the viewer critically examine the source of online media (7c). This is done by sharing what needs to be taken into consideration when evaluating digital media (i.e., relevance, accuracy, bias, and reliability. The infographic also helps the viewer make informed decisions when curating their digital profile (7d). This is done by sharing five things to consider when creating a digital profile. These things include: using privacy settings, thinking long term, being positive and kind, sharing strategically, and being your best online.

Analysis

This document has not yet been used in my classroom, but will be shared with students when they create their next presentation. The information provided in the infographic can be used outside of just my classroom, and is still relevant after they graduate.
