Professional Development Transcript

Description

The Professional Development Transcript is documentation of all of the professional development I have participated in over the past six years of being an educator. All professional development courses were offered by Montgomery County Public Schools.

Relevance

This artifact reflects ISTE coach standard 2: connected learner (2a). This transcript shows how I pursue professional learning to serve as a model for educators and leaders (2a). Some of the professional development I attended focused on developing instructional technology skills. This included learning how to navigate and create content in Canvas, a learning management system. Other professional development courses focused on supporting students' social-emotional learning. Another type of professional development was learning strategies to support students’ academic learning (e.g., support scaffolds for ESOL students). I also attended professional development that allowed me to become a certified mentor for new educators in Montgomery County.

Analysis

This document will continue to evolve as I attend more professional development. To improve this artifact, I could make a new column with a reflection of what the key points of the professional development were, and any relevant links from the professional development. This would allow me to use this document as a tool rather than just a transcript.
