Description

The Research Review: Online Experiments resource is a review of a study that explores how chemistry teachers incorporated experiments in their online lessons during the COVID-19 pandemic. This artifact summarizes the findings from the study, and shares how they can be applied to the secondary chemistry classroom.

Relevance

This artifact reflects ISTE standard 1: change agent (1d). The document recognizes educators (1d) who effectively use technology to enable high-impact teaching and learning. The document shares the effective methods that teachers have used to implement virtual experiments in their online classroom. These methods are deemed effective through a student satisfaction survey that showed 74% of students enjoyed the types of online experiments.

Analysis

This artifact was made to share what teachers are already doing in their virtual classrooms, and get insight on how students are responding to the different types of online experiments. Sharing these findings with my peers helped us effectively create interactive online experiments.
