Description

The Using Multimedia for Learning video is a dynamic presentation that provides the audience with the benefits and difficulties of using multimedia and games for learning. The presentation also covers design strategies to take into consideration when creating multimedia for learning.

Relevance

This artifact reflects the ISTE coach standard 1: change agent (1b) and standard 4: learning designer (4c). The design strategies shared in the video facilitates equitable use of digital learning tools (1b). The strategies also cover how to accommodate for learner variability (4c) by providing the audience with a checklist of how to make multimedia accessible to all learners.

Analysis

This video is a resource for both in-person and online classrooms. It is a tool that can be used to ensure that the multimedia used for learning is effective and accessible. In my own classroom, I refer to the strategies presented in this video when choosing the multimedia used in my lessons.
